English 11

1. Checking in, and quiz
2. Student discussion on Chapter 6, and teacher notes
3. Freewrite on a prompt
4. Begin prep for in-class essay: consider these eight topics. I'll create five questions. You choose one, and respond in the essay form you deem appropriate: expository, persuasive, or synthesis.

5. Time for in-class prep
6. Next class is a work block. We'll be focusing on essay structure for Monday's in-class essay, and there will be time for you to work on your short story.
