a. Read aloud, and then offer a first opinion.
b. Read a second time. Identify structure, rhythm, notable sentences and images, tone, possible turning points. Summarize notable sections, like stanzas.
c. Attempt to identify theme, and ask a question you don't know the answer to.
d. Read a third time. Offer a new opinion
